We’ve been a little useless on the blog front the last few months. I’m going to place the blame on our little boy who is adorable (biased I know) but also demands ALL OUR TIME! Anyway, what better way to throw ourselves back into the blogs than with Candice and Luke and their relaxed summer wedding at the beautiful Petersham Nurseries in Richmond, Surrey.
A scorcher of a day back at the very end of June, Candice and Luke hosted an intimate day at Petersham Nurseries with just 45 guests. As Candice is originally from Canada, many of those guests had flown in for the occasion. The couple had their official ceremony in Twickenham just a couple of days early so close friends hosted a mini ceremony for the couple, so friends and family could witness.
Following the ceremony there was a drinks reception and a sit down meal, all of which was enclosed in one of the Nursery’s beautiful glasshouses. Guests were treated to seasonal, Italian inspired food all consumed surrounded by beautiful foliage and blooms.
Determined not to follow tradition the couple decided not to have any speeches, so following dinner the whole wedding party upped camp and walked a mile across Richmond (most of which was up hill and through cow fields!) to The White Horse Pub which hosted the evening celebrations.
Although knackering, the walk provided some beautiful spots to capture some more intimate pictures of Candice and Luke. The pair are effortlessly cool and it’s hard to find a bad angle of Richmond so that 30 minutes ended up being particularly fruitful in terms of photography. More guests arrived at The Whitehorse and the evening consisted of free-flowing drinks and a BBQ.
A pleasure to be a part of their day. So here’s their story….
