We're excited to finally launch our blog, having been meaning to start this for months. We've got a bit of a back log of weddings to get up but we've got so many happy memories and awesome photos, that it'd be a shame not to share them.
What a wedding to start with - Tom and Sarah's beautiful wedding in the Alps. Here are just a few of the shots with a little story of their special day.
Our usual stomping ground is Surrey and London. However, we couldn't resist when Tom and Sarah got in touch and asked if we'd photograph their big day in the Alps. Jumping at the opportunity, we packed our kit and jumped on a plane to Geneva, and then took a hire car down to the gorgeous little Alpine town of Samoens. Set in the stunning surroundings of snow-capped mountains, the wedding venue was a beautiful traditional wooden chalet half way up a winding mountain road. Surrounded by green meadows and wild flowers, it really was the dream wedding location.
Tom and Sarah's relaxed vibe made for such a special day. There was no fuss or rushing around, while the spectacular views and flowing champagne, put everyone in a great mood.
The ceremony was laid back and personal with friends and family offering readings and even a little musical accompaniment. Guests then made their way outside to the gardens amidst the wild flowers to sip on more champers overlooking the mountain vistas.
That gave us the chance to whisk Tom and Sarah off for some fun shots of just the two of them, of course, all against the spectacular mountain backdrop. A wedding photographer's dream. Perfect blue skies, snow-capped mountain vistas, rich green meadows and a brilliant, happy couple.
