Sherleine & Matthew

For today’s blog we are travelling back to three days before Christmas when Sherleine and Matthew tied the knot in front of a very select group of family and friends at the lovely Nutfield Priory Hotel in Redhill, Surrey.

A crisp, cold and sunny winters day made it the perfect setting for their Christmas wedding. Fairy lights and foliage lined the archway into the hotel and an enormous Christmas tree stood proudly in front of stained glass windows in the lounge area.

We started the day with Sherleine in her suite along with her mum, cousin and brother. Sherleine has to be one of the most organised brides we’ve shot this year and left herself plenty of time to get ready so there was ample time to get some lovely photos before heading down to the ceremony.

Matthew, who is a Guardsmen, welcomed guests to the venue alongside his groomsmen. The civil ceremony seemed to whizz by in a flash and before we knew it the party were outside ready to throw confetti for the newlyweds. Formal photos followed then everyone headed back inside to the warm for reception drinks and nibbles

As the couple chose to only have 29 guests, the wedding breakfast was an intimate affair with all guests seated around one table. Dinner was followed by cake cutting and the first dance after which we left them to enjoy their first evening as a married couple. We, of course, got them to pop a confetti balloon before we did though.

A real fairy tale Christmas wedding… enjoy x
