Alba & Ian

Let me take you back to August when we were in the middle of the heatwave and it felt like summer was never going to end.  Exceeding 30-degree heat in central London, Alba and Ian became husband and wife.

The day started in Notting Hill, at St Peter’s church. A beautiful decorative church in the middle of Kensington Street. Ian, his best man and two sons arrived first and were soon welcoming guests. Alba arrived with minutes to spare with her bridesmaids and daughter.

Although hot, the service went without a glitch and guests were soon back in the sunshine, champagne in hand and about to board a London Route Master to the reception venue, The Hurlingham Club. Alba and Ian hopped in a friend’s Bentley and made it to the club in record speed so we had plenty of time to take formal couple shots before the rest of the party arrived.

Having done a pre-wedding shoot with the pair earlier on in the year we knew that they we be a joy to photograph. So much fun, didn’t take it too seriously and took direction incredibly well. Once all the formal photos were complete, champagne flowed, and guests soaked up the heat on the terrace overlooking the formal gardens.

On to the evening, and entertainment was the game. A dance floor, casino, photobooth and scalextric to name but a few. We were sad to leave this party!
